Hanna Jamal

Hanna Jamal is a Vice President in the Public Sector Practice at Social Finance, where she advises governments and foundations on how to get better outcomes from their spending. She oversees a portfolio of projects focused on workforce development and economic mobility, including expanding access to apprenticeships and helping people with health conditions stay in or return to work. Hanna’s expertise is in outcomes-based contracts that tie funding to results, and in data systems that give program leaders timely information to improve services. Her recent work includes Veterans CARE, which provides integrated employment and mental health support to help Veterans find and maintain steady work, and an Ascendium-funded initiative focused on expanding pre-apprenticeship pathways in the skilled trades.

Prior to joining Social Finance, Hanna worked in international development and disaster relief with organizations such as Plan International, Acumen, and Doctors Without Borders. She holds an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and an MA in Anthropology and Development Studies from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
