Toby Chaiken

Toby is an Associate Director on the Impact Advisory team at Social Finance. In her time at Social Finance, Toby’s work has focused on the intersection between workforce and health.

Before joining Social Finance, Toby was a senior manager at J-PAL North America at MIT, where she led the Worker Prosperity Initiative: a research initiative focused on evaluating the impact of programs and interventions designed to support workers. She also led J-PAL North America’s external capacity building team, which conducts workshops and courses on evaluating social programs and making evidence-based decisions for state and local leaders.

Toby holds a BA in economics from Wellesley College and an MA in health policy and economics from Harvard University.
