Exploring Impact-First Investing: A Live Tool Demo & Discussion
The Impact-First Investing (IFI) Tool is an interactive resource developed by the Social Finance Institute and the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation, with support from Builders Vision. The IFI Tool helps those interested in impact-first investing — including philanthropic investors, foundation and nonprofit leaders, advisors, policymakers, researchers, and others — explore how the approach works in practice.
Overview
How can we fund solutions to the world’s biggest challenges beyond grants and market-rate impact investments? Impact-first investing has enormous potential to extend the reach of charitable dollars, but it requires thinking differently about trade-offs, risk, and time.
Join the Social Finance Institute and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business’ Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation on Wednesday, July 22 at 1:00 pm ET / 12:00 pm CT for a LinkedIn Live event to celebrate the public launch of the Impact-First Investing (IFI) Tool: an interactive resource that models the impact and financial implications of incorporating impact-first investing into a charitable giving strategy.
Through an interactive walk-through of the IFI Tool and a panel discussion about the real-world challenges that come with looking beyond traditional grants and investments, we’ll learn from experts and leading practitioners about the design process behind applying the right financial tool to the right issue.
Test out the Tool for yourself at IFITool.org.
