Tuesday Fund

Impact Investments, Workforce & Economic Mobility

Highlights

$25MCommitted to economic mobility in the U.S.

Made possible by a generous commitment of $25M from philanthropist Mollie Carter, the Tuesday Fund is a pool of impact capital investing to advance economic mobility for low-income individuals across the United States. The fund invests catalytic, impact-first capital to innovative solutions that demonstrate measurable impact, a clear path to scale, and the potential to leverage additional public, private, and philanthropic capital.

Thematic Priorities

We seek to invest across all aspects of the economic mobility journey for our priority populations:

  • Income Generation: Investments that increase individual earning potential through education, workforce development, and upskilling
  • Wealth Building: Investments that enable individuals to accumulate assets and build intergenerational financial stability, including savings, homeownership, and small business ownership
  • Enabling Infrastructure: Investments in infrastructure and supportive services that enable economic mobility (e.g., childcare, mental health counseling, housing, etc.)

The ReNEW Fund

A partnership between Social Finance and Western Governors University (WGU) to provide zero-interest, outcomes-based loans to low- to moderate-income nursing students, creating long-term economic mobility and a sustainable pipeline of nurses.

Tuesday is a day of possibility—it's what you make of it. It’s symbolic of people who have talent and drive but face persistent hurdles. This Fund is about removing those barriers so that opportunity is determined by a person’s potential, not their circumstances.
