Julia Hines

Hines is the Executive Assistant to President & COO at Social Finance.

Julia is a systems-focused administrator committed to creating efficiency and cultivating a positive culture in mission-driven nonprofit organizations. With a diverse background in teaching and filmmaking, Julia developed a unique ability to manage complex projects, foster collaboration, and create elegant solutions from ambiguity. Previously, Julia was the Executive Administrator for the President & Managing Partner at Education Resource Strategies, where she supported leadership by streamlining daily operations, overseeing project lifecycle processes, and driving process improvements. Prior to her administrative work, Julia taught early elementary students in Winchester and Brookline Public Schools.

Julia is a lifelong resident of the Boston area. She earned a Bachelor of Science at Boston University and a Master of Education at American International College. Outside of work, Julia explores Boston’s independent cinemas, flea markets, and music festivals. At home, she cares for an extensive collection of houseplants. Except for the Monstera deliciosa—that’s really more of a roommate.

As a former teacher who believes in the power of education to change lives, I am especially passionate about Social Finance's work to create workforce training and education pathways!
