John Pion is an Associate Director in the impact investing team at Social Finance. Since joining the organization in 2019, John has helped grow Social Finance’s work with DAF sponsors, foundations, donors, and impact-first recipient organizations to mobilize capital to impact-first investments. John spends the bulk of his time managing the Social Finance Impact First Fund.

Prior to joining Social Finance, John worked as a Consultant in Deloitte’s Strategy and Analytics practice, where he engaged with clients from the healthcare industry and mobility space to develop market entry and optimization strategies. During his time at Deloitte, John also worked on pro-bono non-profit consulting engagements with local Boston organizations.

John graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a B.A. in Economics.
