Annie Dear is a Director at Social Finance, where she works with public sector and nonprofit clients on quality improvement and outcomes funding initiatives that implement data-driven and community-informed practices to deliver better results. Her work has focused on early childhood, with an emphasis on home visiting, and homelessness, including Home for Good Anchorage, a $12.75 million project to expand supportive housing in Anchorage, AK. She also has helped build Social Finance’s portfolio of outcomes rate cards, a contracting approach that links provider incentive payments to metrics that align with operational, policy, and outcome priorities. Her portfolio has also included education, health, public safety and reentry, and workforce development.

Before joining Social Finance, she worked as a policy researcher for a state senator in Southern California. She also completed the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs in Los Angeles, an experiential program that promotes effective and ethical leadership in civic affairs. Annie graduated from Williams College with a BA with honors in Political Science.
