HEAR FROM STEPHANIE
After working a series of unsatisfying jobs, Stephanie was ready to launch a career that would provide for her and her son. She was interested in doing something hands-on with growth potential and good pay.
An ad on YouTube about American Diesel Training Centers (ADTC) caught her eye. The video explained how ADTC’s five-week program prepares learners for good-paying jobs as diesel technicians at no upfront cost. Students only pay if they land a job above a certain amount, thanks to a student-friendly financing model called the Career Impact Bond.
With the support of her family, Stephanie traveled to Ohio for the five-week program. She threw herself into the program, working hands-on with trucks, reviewing modules online, and taking advantage of the program’s resume support services.
Her hard work paid off. Three weeks into training, Stephanie landed a job with Sonsray Agriculture in her hometown as an apprentice technician, with a pathway to moving up the technician ladder. Since starting, she’s had two pay raises.
“I'm really proud of myself that I made the decision to do it. I sacrificed five weeks away from my son to make a better life for us.Stephanie, American Diesel Career Impact Bond graduate
