Rakan Aboneaaj

Rakan Aboneaaj is an Associate supporting the data analytics, impact investing, and advisory services teams.

Prior to joining Social Finance, Rakan was a consultant on the World Bank’s Private Capital Facilitation unit, and a research associate on the Sustainable Development Finance team at the Center for Global Development, where he focused on multilateral development bank reform and climate finance. Previously, he worked at Altman Solon, a strategy consulting firm, and the Center for Strategic & International Studies.

Rakan holds a BA in Economics and Middle East Studies from Brown University, and was a 2020 Fulbright Research Fellow in São Paulo, Brazil, where he studied the integration of migrants and refugees.

I joined Social Finance to develop innovative financial structures that have a direct impact on in-need communities.
