Katherine is the Chief Communications Officer at Social Finance. As Chief Communications Officer, Katherine leads efforts to inspire broad audiences around a vision of putting capital to work in new ways. Partnering across Social Finance’s practice areas and alongside government, philanthropic, and private sector leaders, she translates complex ideas into stories that motivate people to act.
Katherine comes to Social Finance from the communications firm Denterlein, where she served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the public affairs practice. She was a trusted advisor to a range of companies, foundations, and civic institutions, helping shape public conversation around some of the most important issues facing New England and beyond.
Earlier in her career, she served as Communications Director for Massachusetts State Senator Sonia Chang-Díaz. She built communications strategies for initiatives to help close the student achievement gap, promote equitable economic development, and improve transparency and accountability in government.
Katherine holds a B.A. from Boston College, where she studied sociology and music. She serves on the board of MassINC.
Achieving our mission requires inspiring people to think differently about what the tools of finance — when applied creatively and collaboratively — can make possible.
