Type II diabetes prevention is drastically underfunded in the U.S. This brief investigates how Pay for Success (PFS) strategies can be used as a prevention tool to extend diabetes prevention. By examining the value of prevention using a cost-benefit analysis, the paper strengthens the evidence that PFS can be used to improve and scale diabetes interventions.
Using the tools for Pay for Success, we believe that diabetes prevention gains a new luster, allowing innovative financing to subtly shift the balance of risk and return to suit our multipayor system.
