Looking Back
Our journey started a decade ago with a borrowed office and a bold mission: to build new tools at the intersection of finance and policy to deliver meaningful change and measurable outcomes for our communities. In the time since, we’ve worked toward these goals alongside hundreds of partners across the nonprofit, private, and public sectors.
Over the past year, we’ve broadened and deepened our economic mobility efforts to contribute to an equitable recovery from the pandemic. We’re sincerely grateful for the breakthrough support from Blue Meridian Partners, MacKenzie Scott and Dan Jewett, and others to accelerate this vital work.
You can hear from program participants who reskilled and discovered new career paths, and explore highlights from the past 10 years in our new interactive report, “A Decade of Impact.”
Moving Forward
We’ve always deployed multiple tools and collaborated with diverse partners. That’s why Social Finance means different things to different people. To our partners within the Pay for Success movement, we’re pioneers. To our impact investing partners, we’re innovators. And to governments, we’re data-driven capacity builders.
We’ve recently developed a refreshed brand identity to prepare us for the next decade of impact. Our conversations with a variety of stakeholders as part of this initiative echoed a common theme: Core values underpin everything we do.
- We put people first.
- We focus on results.
- We demonstrate integrity and accountability.
- And we build enduring cross-sector partnerships.
Across our work, we continually challenge ourselves and our partners to use funding and data in innovative ways to create lasting impact. Our updated brand identity aims to reflect these themes more clearly and convey the strength of an organization that adds up to more than the sum of its parts.
So, what’s different? We’re using updated language and introducing a fresh visual style to highlight our work—you can see them in action in our interactive report.
What’s the same? We still envision a world in which social and economic systems enable all people to thrive. And every day, we’re dedicated to realigning markets and systems to transform lives. We continue to lead with a focus on impact and we are still guided by the same values we established in 2011.
We look forward to sharing more with you in the coming months. Thank you for your continued support.
