Alina Xu is a Director at Social Finance, where she supports the impact advisory team. Her portfolio has included projects focused on homelessness, workforce development, early childhood, and guaranteed income.

Previously, Alina worked with the Ministry of Health in eSwatini to expand access to essential services, as a member of the Clinton Health Access Initiative’s health financing team. She has also advised the Government of Rwanda on the development of export-oriented industries, and supported nonprofit and corporate clients with Dalberg Advisors in Nairobi, Kenya. Earlier in her career, Alina managed randomized evaluations of entrepreneurship training programs with Innovations for Poverty Action in Uganda.

Alina holds an MPA in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and a BA in economics from University of California, Berkeley.
