Social Finance Welcomes New Chief Philanthropy Officer and New Vice President of Communications

BOSTON, MA & NEW YORK, NY — Today, Social Finance announced the addition of two new members of the senior leadership team. Robin Peterson Gibbs joins as the organization’s first Chief Philanthropy Officer, and Alexis Stoller as the first Vice President and Head of Communications.

Robin Peterson Gibbs brings a unique dual expertise in financial services and philanthropy to Social Finance. Over the course of her career, she has advised institutional investors, corporate foundations, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and families on structuring capital for impact. In this newly created role, Robin will lead Social Finance’s fundraising efforts and coordinate enterprise-wide initiatives to enable the organization to achieve a new level of impact, broaden its reach, and raise awareness of its mission.
Prior to Social Finance, Robin was the Executive Director of Family Philanthropy at Brown University. Previously, she was an Executive Director in the Equities Division of Goldman Sachs and the relationship manager for several of the firm’s top global institutional asset management accounts. Robin started her career in International Capital Markets at Merrill Lynch.

Also joining the team is Alexis Stoller, a mission-driven strategic communications leader with nearly two decades of experience advancing social impact, growth, and digital transformation initiatives across industries and sectors. Before joining Social Finance, Alexis consulted for several nonprofits and start-up technology platforms, and prior to that, she served as a Senior Vice President and public affairs lead at Hotwire Global and Vice President of brand marketing at Porter Novelli. In this newly created role, Alexis will lead the organization’s communications and marketing function, building and expanding Social Finance’s brand among key audiences through media, thought leadership, issue advocacy, and impact-driven storytelling.
