We bring experience from our work across the growing U.S. Pay for Success market, as well as thought leadership from our partners in the U.K. and Israel, to help our clients see the promise and challenges of Pay for Success. We identify best-in-class interventions, execute economic analyses, perform rigorous due diligence, and build capacity for grantees and service providers.
Our Advisory Services team approaches work with a rigorous analysis of the issues, interventions, and providers that are most ready to scale their work with Pay for Success financing. At the same time, we seek customized solutions for each project, tailored to the particular needs of each community.
Landscape Study: We support government or philanthropic partners to identify promising issue areas that could benefit from Pay for Success financing—determining top-tier interventions, mapping them to policy initiatives, and navigating the opportunities and tradeoffs involved in undertaking a Pay for Success project.
Feasibility Study: We perform intensive research and analysis to study the suitability of using Pay for Success financing within a given issue area and geography. Working closely with government and service providers, we conduct due diligence to assess interventions’ and providers’ strengths and weaknesses. Based on that assessment, we offer strategic and operational recommendations to build capacity and improve their ability to reach innovative financing tools. We develop an initial cost-benefit analysis and determine the appropriate next steps toward building a successful project.
Our work is about building trusted relationships to catalyze funding decisions tied to great social outcomes. We use the tools and lessons of Pay for Success to guide our work, but work beyond Pay for Success as well: building nonprofits’ capacity, assisting governments to rethink procurement processes, and building new financing products.
When feasibility analysis is complete, if a potential project has the necessary conditions in place, the project may transition to our Social Investment team to begin Pay for Success project development.
