Ryan Gillette

Ryan Gillette is a director of advisory services in Social Finance’s San Francisco office, where he works with governments, non-profits, and investors to explore potential Pay for Success opportunities. His portfolio includes projects related to homelessness, maternal and infant health, and child welfare.

Prior to joining Social Finance, Ryan was a program director with the Harvard Government Performance Lab. During his tenure with GPL, Ryan supported the development and launch of Pay for Success/Social Impact Bond initiatives in Massachusetts, Chicago, Connecticut, Michigan, and California on issues ranging from reducing recidivism to increasing access to high quality pre-school. He also led GPL’s efforts in California to improve government performance management and impact measurement practices at the state and local level. Prior to GPL, Ryan was a research analyst at the National Bureau of Economic Research, where he worked on the final evaluation of the Moving to Opportunity housing voucher study. He holds a BA in Economics and Russian from Middlebury College and an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
