Justin Kim is an Advisor, Special Projects at Social Finance, based in the San Francisco office.
Previously, Justin was an investment analyst at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank, where he evaluated and executed private equity and debt investments in companies across emerging and frontier markets. At IFC, Justin also helped manage a $115m impact fund providing catalytic capital to commercial banks in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa to increase lending to women-owned businesses.
Prior to joining IFC, Justin was an investment banking analyst at Financo, where he advised consumer and retail sector companies on M&A transactions. Throughout his career, Justin also completed multiple field-based projects with local NGOs in Cambodia, Singapore, and Malawi.
Justin holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he currently is an HBS Leadership Fellow, and has a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
