Johanna Interian is Assistant General Counsel at Social Finance. She supports the development, structuring, and execution of outcome-based financings that bridge the public, private, and non-profit sectors to drive social progress and address society’s most pressing challenges. She also handles internal corporate governance matters with an emphasis on risk management and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Prior to joining Social Finance, Johanna was a corporate attorney at White & Case, where her practice concentrated on capital markets transactions and counseling clients on corporate governance, ESG disclosure, and reporting requirements under U.S. securities laws. While at the firm, she maintained an active pro bono practice with a focus on immigration matters, social impact financings, and criminal justice reform.
Johanna graduated cum laude from Middlebury College and earned her law degree from Boston College Law School. She serves as co-chair of the associate board of Court Appointed Special Advocates of New York City (CASA-NYC), a nonprofit that provides one-on-one advocacy for foster youth transitioning out of the foster system.
