Marina Tolchinsky is an Associate Director at Social Finance supporting the advisory services and impact investing teams.

Prior to joining Social Finance, Marina was an Analytics Team Lead at Fraym, a technology startup producing geospatial population data. In this role, she led the development of analytical products and worked with public and private sector clients to inform data-driven decision making in emerging markets. Marina has also worked on poverty analysis and impact evaluation methods as a Consultant at the World Bank and supported government partners with data information system design at Development Gateway. Earlier in her career, she was an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow in the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Djibouti, where she worked on economic development planning and macroeconomic analysis.

Marina holds an MA in International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a BA in Economics and International Relations from the University of Southern California.
