This interactive web-based report explores the cost of homelessness in Ventura County, CA. By integrating cost data from over a dozen county and city departments, the analysis attempts to measure the dollars and cents associated with the status quo—with the hopes that it can inform future discussions about the most effective use of public funding to end homelessness.
The costs of persistent homelessness are high—not only to the County, but to the health and well-being of individuals experiencing homelessness as well.
This report was produced in partnership with the County of Ventura and with support from the City of Ventura and the City of Oxnard.
