Alex Zaroulis is the Director of Communications for Social Finance where she is responsible for leading multi-layered strategic communications campaigns to advance Social Finance’s market presence as a leader in the Pay for Success/Social Impact Bond field.

Alex has over twenty-five years of communications experience in the public and private sectors working in politics, public relations and journalism. Prior to joining Social Finance Alex was Director of Communications of the Executive Office of Administration and Finance for Governor Deval Patrick where she led all communications for the Commonwealth’s landmark Pay for Success initiatives on juvenile recidivism, homelessness, and adult basic education.

In 2006 Alex founded Zaroulis Communications, where she advised local and national clients on communications and crisis strategy. Over the past two decades Alex has served as Communications Director for numerous political campaigns, including serving as Vice President Al Gore’s Midwest Communications Director for the 2000 presidential race.

Alex began her career as producer for “Monitor Radio,” the broadcast edition of The Christian Science Monitor. Alex graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Political Science, and received her Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University’s College of Communication.
